2016 – What a Year in “Believeland” — not only for our area, but also right here at Big Creek Pet Hospital!
The Cavs won the NBA championship, the Monsters won the Calder Cup, and Stipe Miocic, a Cleveland area firefighter, won the Heavyweight MMA title. Plus our Tribe came so close to winning the World Series and making it an “Indian Summer”. The weather was great this year, although not so much for many of our four-legged family members, as allergies were especially bad in 2016. Fortunately, a new medication, Apoquel®, gave safer relief to many of our canine patients.
Big Creek Pet Hospital continues to work on improving Pain Management for our four-legged friends, both in identification and treatment options. We’ve been seeing great results from our laser therapy. So much so that we are adding a second laser, which will split time between both our locations.
Here are some of the exciting things happening at Big Creek Pet Hospital:
1. VitusVet App: You can download this free app which allows you access to your pet’s records. In the event of an emergency, having that access could save your pet’s life and make emergency visits less expensive. This app also allows you to easily request appointments and refills. The app is available from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
2. New Doctor: We have plans to add a new doctor in 2017 to expand our coverage, especially at our Olmsted office.
3. Celebrating 25 years: Yes, Dr. Fegan will be celebrating 25 years as owner of Big Creek Pet Hospital. We are planning special events with 25 in the theme.
During 2016, we have had several new team members join the Big Creek Pet Hospital family including: Carolyn, Kelly, Alyssa, and Vivian, all Client Relations Specialists; Lisa and Amy, Patient Advocates. While not a new addition, Kayleigh passed her boards to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Also new this year are Mehlaina, Cassie, and Haley, Animal Caretakers in our Kennel. Finally, a new family member joined the Big Creek Team, Oliver. Oliver is one of Fagin’s puppies and will eventually be taking over Pet Safety training duties from Fagin.
Thank you for continuing to entrust the care of your four-legged family members to the Big Creek Team – we are deeply honored.
May God Bless You and Yours during this Holiday Season and in the coming New Year!
