Wow, what a great event!!!! Approximately 75 people were at the 1st Annual Cleveland Cat Health Fair, including Tom Livingston from News Net5.

The Presentation Them Was: “The Vomiting Cat – Hairballs and More”. Vomiting is a common reason owners bring their favorite feline to the veterinarian. Our doctors presented three serious conditions associated with vomiting

  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease in Cats (Dr. Jon Souders) – Inflammatory Bowel Disease, also known as IBD, is a common cause of vomiting and diarrhea. The term is actually used for a group of GI diseases. Dr. Souders will discuss what IBD is and how it can be treated.
  • Colitis in Cats (Dr. Deborah Fegan) – Colitis is an infection of the large intestine (colon) which can cause vomiting, abdominal pain, and stress in cat. Dr. Fegan will discuss how your beloved cat can get colitis and how it can be treated.
  • Hyperthyroidism in Cats (Dr. Nora Zabik) Vomiting maybe a sign that of Hyperthyroidism in your middle-age or older cat. Dr. Zabik will discuss what Hyperthyroidism is and how it can be treated.
  • Ask the Veterinarian – During this segment the Big Creek Pet hospital veterinarians answered your general cat health questions.
