Relief and/or improvement is often noticed within hours depending on the condition and your pet’s unique health status. Whether your pet is rehabilitating from trauma or injury, healing from wounds, or simply aging, your pet can benefit from this innovative approach to treating pain.

Applications for laser therapy include:

  • Treatment of arthritis, degenerative joint disease, or hip dysplasia (20% of adult dogs and 40% of senior dogs are estimated to have arthritis. 30% of adult cats and as many as 60% of senior cats may have arthritis)
  • General pain management (sprains, strains, and stiffness)
  • Post-surgery pain (spays, neuters, declaws, and other surgeries)
  • Skin problems (hot spots, lick granulomas, infections)
  • Dental procedures
  • Fractures and wounds (bites, abrasions, burns, and lesions)
  • Ear infections

So if your pet is suffering from any of the above conditions schedule an appointment or call us 440-234-5831. You can also click the Appointment icon on this page to request an appointment.

Our doctors will examine your pet to determine if laser therapy is appropriate. While this treatment is not suitable for every pet and condition, we have witnessed some fantastic results with our patients with those that have received treatment.

Laser Therapy for Dogs

Imagine your dachshund was unable to use her hind two legs and looked more like a seal when walking, irritable, and not wanting to play with her best friend Gracie, a fellow dachshund. Then you hear a story about a new treatment – laser therapy. While skeptical of any “miracle” cures you don’t want your pet to be suffering any longer and decide to find out what it’s all about. You hope this “laser therapy will help at least a little bit. But to your delight, a month later your four-legged friend is wagging her tail and running and playing again. That’s the story of one of our patients, Angel Kurka.

Our Cleveland area veterinarians are prescribing laser therapy, when dogs are suffering from arthritis and other “itis’s”, wound healing, and post surgery. While not appropriate for every dog’s situation, we’ve been seeing some fantastic results. 1. Reduces Pain
  2. Reduces Inflammation
  3. Speeds Healing

The following video explains Laser Therapy

Laser Therapy for Cats

Message from Marty Minor, silver tabby cat

“Laser therapy has made a big difference in my mobility and quality of life. Before treatment, I would sit on the couch for hours, getting up only to eat, drink and use the litter box. My owners noticed a change from the very first appointment. Now I can groom myself easier too. I feel great for being 19 years old since I started laser therapy at BCPH. It has really helped me manage arthritis in my back. My family is so happy with the results!”

Testimonial by Susan, Marty’s mom
